NINE-TON ROGUE CRAFT CARRYING TOXIC CHEMICALS WILL CRASH INTO EARTH ON EASTER WEEKEND.
New York City, Toronto, Chicago, Barcelona, Rome, Istanbul and Beijing are the hugely populated urban areas in the target zone where the space station could hit between March 30 and April 2.
The Chinese lost control of the Tiangong-1 space craft in 2016 and it is now hurtling to Earth with the highly toxic chemical hydrazine on board. Trackers say it will crash along a narrow strip of the 43-degrees north and south latitude.
Most of the craft will burn up on re-entry, but chunks as large as 220 pounds — 100 kg — could strike Earth, reports Harry Pettit in the Daily Mail.
