It takes one to know one
ISTANBUL – Turkey’s Tayyip Erdogan and France’s Emmanuel Macron will work together to try to persuade the United States to reconsider its decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a Turkish presidential source said on Saturday.
The two leaders agreed during a phone call that the move is worrisome for the region, the source said, adding that Turkey and France would make a joint effort to try to reverse the U.S. decision.
Erdogan also called for an urgent meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Turkey next week.

Violent “no-go” zones occupied by rapists, murderers, drug traffickers, youth gangs and ruled only by Islamic law have spread from the suburbs to the heart of Paris and other cities.
And, as political analyst Judith Bergman writes in Gatestone, President Emmanuel Macron blames France, not Islam, for the increased radicalization.
As usual, super liberal Macron has sa tête dans le cul.
Macron says the increased radicalization should lead France to “question itself.”
“We allowed, in too many cities, too many districts, representatives of a distortion of a religion, which are full of hate and disenfranchisement to provide solutions that the Republic no longer gives,” Macron said
But, Bergman asks, “Did the French republic impose sharia and the subjugation of women in the suburbs, described by one female survivor as ‘hell’?”
“Was the French republic behind the recent distribution of leaflets stipulating, ‘If you meet a Jew, kill him’?”

The French Republic is tarnished, said the mayor
As Muslims chanted “Allahu Akbar” and prayed in the public square in the Paris suburb of Clichy-la-Garenne on Friday, French citizens ultimately stopped them by singing La Marseillaise and waving French flags.
“I must assure the tranquility and freedom of the people in my city,” said the mayor, Remi Muzeau, who led the protest. “We must not allow this to happen in our country. Our country, the French Republic is tarnished.”
Mayor Muzeau, carrying a large banner that read: “Stop Illegal Street Prayers,” led more than 100 demonstrators in a show of force to stop Muslims from praying in the town’s market square.
The Muslims, who have been praying in public every Friday for several months to protest the shortage of mosques, carried their own banner that read: “United for a Grand Mosque of Clichy.”
As the Muslims spread their prayer rugs on the pavement, took off their shoes and began their prayers, riot police formed a human barricade between the two groups.
The tense confrontation was defused, but the mayor and the Muslims were equally adamant that they would be back again next Friday to conduct the same protest.
“We’ll do it every Friday if necessary,” said Muzeau.
Crazed knifeman kills two women at Marseille train station
A religious fanatic wielding a butcher’s knife and shouting ‘Allahu Akbar’ was gunned down by army sharpshooters Saturday after killing two female passengers at Gare de Marseille-Saint Charles.
Amid screams of horror, one of the victims was slashed in the throat and the other stabbed in the chest and stomach. The women were ages 17 and 20.
As the black-clad man attacked the two women, other passengers ran for their lives.
The terrorist, said to be in his 20s, was shot down by soldiers who were on patrol inside the train station as part of France’s ongoing state of emergency.
Lunatic in Edmonton stabs cop, runs down pedestrians outside football stadium
A man in a speeding car carrying an ISIS flag crashed through a barricade at a football game Saturday night, catapulting a police officer into the air. He then jumped out of his car and repeatedly stabbed the officer.
The terrorist, a 30-year-old Somalian, jumped back into his car and sped away, running down pedestrians as he led a dozen police vehicles on a high-speed chase in a scenario described as chaotic.
“There were people flying everywhere,” said a witness.
The stabbed police officer and four pedestrians who were struck by the speeding car were rushed to hospital.
During the high speed chase the terrorist’s car overturned and the driver fled.
After a four-hour manhunt, the madman was pulled over at a police checkpoint on Wayne Gretzky Drive while driving a U-Haul truck. The name on his driver’s license was similar to that of the registered owner of the car used in the earlier attack. After a struggle with police, the terrorist was taken into custody.
