Trump gives Britain the brush-off

President Trump has cancelled his first visit to Britain since taking office because he wasn’t happy with the “arrangements and the scale of the visit,” according to news reports.

Trump was going to London next month to officially open the new U.S. embassy there, and hold meetings with Prime Minister Theresa May at No. 10 Downing Street.

The cancellation will please London’s Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan, who has long said Trump is not welcome in his city.

First of all, it ain’t Khan’s city, and second of all, to hell with him!

Trump hasn’t got time for that kind of aggravation. He’s got bigger and better things to do in the good ol’ U.S. of A.

God bless America.

BREXIT! And so it begins…

Britain on its way to being great again!

Theresa May leaves 10 Downing Street after activating Article 50, to the delight of Brexit champion Nigel Farage, former leader of the UK Independence Party.

It may take a couple of years to finally be free of the dictatorial, incompetent European Union, but the exit-strategy Article 50 has been signed and there’s no stopping now.

Prime Minister May triggered Article 50 shortly before 12:30 p.m. on March 29, 2017, making it official that Britain will exit the European Union no later than April 2019.

For the next two years, Britain will hammer out a deal for leaving the E.U. — and it’s not going to easy. The settlement will have to be approved by a majority of E.U. member countries and can be vetoed by the European Parliament. But the determination and courage of Theresa May and the citizens who voted for Brexit will prove victorious.

Article 50 of the Treaty of Lisbon gives any EU member the right to quit unilaterally, and outlines the procedure for doing so. It gives the exiting country two years to negotiate an exit deal, and once it’s set in motion cannot be stopped except by unanimous consent of all member states. No country has ever left the EU because there was no way to legally do so before the Treaty of Lisbon was signed in 2007.

Below is the text of the letter that Theresa May sent to E.U. Council President Donald Tusk, triggering Article 50:

E.U. president Jean-Claude Juncker the drunker threatens to promote the break-up of the United States of America if President Trump doesn’t support the European Union.

“Brexit isn’t the end,” he said. “A lot of people would like it that way, even people on another continent where the newly elected U.S. President was happy that the Brexit was taking place and has asked other countries to do the same. If he goes on like that I am going to promote the independence of Ohio and Austin, Texas in the U.S.”images

How he would do that remains a mystery.

Maybe he was drunk again. This is a guy who has cognac for breakfast. The bibulous tendencies of the Luxembourg politician are well known across Europe, as this 2014 headline article attests:

As does this video of Juncker at an E.U. summit in Latvia exuberantly slapping world leaders in the face:

SPACED OUT: Not to mention (and yet we do) a speech last year in which Juncker said he has talked to leaders from other planets.

On June 28 at a meeting in Brussels of the European Parliament, Juncker said (in French, followed by the English translation):

“Il faut savoir que ceux qui nous observent de loin sont très inquiets. J’ai vu et entendu et écouté plusieurs des dirigeants d’autres planètes qui sont très inquiets puisqu’ils s’interrogent sur la voie que l’union européenne va poursuivre. Et donc, if faut rassurer, et les européens, et ceux qui nous observent de plus… loin.”

“It should be known that those who observe us from afar are very worried. I met and heard and listened to several of the leaders from other planets who are very concerned because they question the path the European Union will engage on. And so, a soothing is needed for both the Europeans and those who observe us from … farther away.”

The blindness of political elites

British liberal politicians say the fact that the Westminster Bridge attacker was Muslim is “completely irrelevant.”

This guy, former U.K. trade minister Digby Jones, and other UK liberals, insist that the killer’s Muslim identity had nothing to do with his motive for the attack.

Jones et alia don’t know for sure if it did or didn’t, they are saying that because it is politically correct.

Khalid Masood’s background suggests they are grievously misguided.

As Andrew C. McCarthy writes in the National Review: “Masood was known as Adrian Elms (his stepfather’s surname) until converting to Islam when he was about 40. Prior to that point, while fathering three children with his wife, he had several arrests, some for violent attacks.

During at least one of the resulting stints in prison, like many inmates, he began indoctrination into Islam. Between 2004 and 2005 came the critical transition: the formal conversion, marriage to a Muslim woman, and relocation to Saudi Arabia.

For five years, Masood was immersed in the kingdom’s Wahhabism — fundamentalist Islam rooted in scriptural literalism. He became an English language-teacher working for the Saudi government.

Masood returned to England from Jeddah about seven years ago. By the time of Unknown-1Wednesday’s attack on Westminster Bridge, he had gravitated to Birmingham, a city increasingly enveloped by sharia enclaves that have become “no-go zones” for non-Muslims and agents of the state, including police.

There is diversity in Islam, including millions of Muslims who adhere only to its spiritual elements or see themselves as more culturally than doctrinally Islamic. But when we speak of Islam, as opposed to Muslims, we are not speaking about a mere religious belief system. We are talking about a competing civilization — that is very much how Islam self-identifies. It has its own history, principles, values, mores, and legal system.

Islam is anti-Western. Like the conversion of Masood, the conversion of Birmingham has been a function of this defining Islamic attribute. Individual Muslims may assimilate, but Islam doesn’t do assimilation. Islam does not melt into the melting pot. Islam, as Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna proclaimed, is content with nothing less than political, cultural, and civilizational dominance.

The fact is that before ISIS and al-Qaeda and the Khomeini revolution and Hezbollah and the Blind Sheikh and the Brotherhood and Khalid Masood, there was the single thing that unites them all — Islam.

Western political and opinion elites remain willfully blind to this. In their minds, and therefore ingrained in the media’s coverage, is the notion that a Muslim community is just like any other community. Same with the mosque — it is just a “house of worship,” no different from a church, a safe harbor from worldly concerns and hostilities.

Islam, however, does not separate mosque from state; the mosque is every bit as much a center for sharia indoctrination, assimilation resistance and anti-Western politics as it is a prayer venue.  The movement doesn’t want cohabitation. It wants conquest. It starts with assimilation-resistant enclaves that nurture sharia supremacism today and thereby breed the jihadists of tomorrow. This week, it took the campaign to Westminster Bridge.”

Nightmare endings
