Air Force One that carried President Trump and First Lady Melania to five countries in nine days lands at Andrews Air Force Base outside Washington on Saturday night after an odyssey that was packed with drama and powerful moments at each stop.
Trump did his supporters proud during his first overseas trip as president — with stops in Saudi Arabia, Israel, Italy, Belgium and Sicily — by sticking to the “America First” strategy that is the cornerstone of his foreign policy.
Trump, conservatively garbed as always, wears a navy suit and red tie, with Melania casually outfitted in a mint green cardigan with cropped white trousers.
Melania, who made a huge impression on world leaders wherever she went — always in one stunning outfit after another — beams with happiness, while the president’s serious expression foreshadows the many troubles he faces back in Washington.
Now Trump must deal with allegations that his son-in-law Jared Kushner (left) had “secret back-channel” contact with Russian ambassador to the United States, Sergey Kislyak (right) and that the so-called “leaks” being investigated by the FBI came directly from the White House.
